SideRoutes runs small-group experiences in Rome, London, Barcelona and Paris. In Rome we cook, and we drink coffee, in a roastery that has been in the same family since 1923.
What we believe
Every city has a side the guidebooks miss. In Rome it is a café counter at ten in the morning, and a kitchen table at three in the afternoon. We keep groups small so you cook, not watch. We book you direct so the person who answers your message is the person who planned your day.
No tourist kitchens. No groups of thirty. Every price is shown before you pay, including a small booking fee.
The café
Della Manna Torrefazione, Via Salaria 79, has roasted coffee for the Salario district since 1923. The family still runs it. Our classes and coffee experiences happen in their room, with their coffee, their wine and their recipes.
